Bespokery is an invitation to the most essential flavours and aromas of the Mediterranean, curated in a selection of small plates designed to be shared.

Bespokery was born out of the desire to create a flavoursome and relaxing food and wine experience combined with superior hospitality.

As personal dietary preferences become more varied, the stress of ensuring that everyone is catered for when dining out with friends and family can detract from what should be a joyful occasion.

Bespokery is an invitation to the most essential flavours and aromas of the Mediterranean, curated in a selection of small plates designed to be shared.  Our objective is to maximise convenience and choice for thoughtful eaters, be they ketogenic, gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian, without compromising on the social enjoyment of dining out.

We aim to deliver delectable and consistently well-prepared food. In doing so, we are also deliberate in the selection of our suppliers so that our purchases are seasonal, local, and sustainably produced.

Nadia & Mitesh are newcomers to the restaurant industry but certainly not to the pleasures of savouring sumptuous food and wine.

Their favourite food memories range from the eclectic street food of George Town, Malaysia to Cape Town’s award-winning La Colombe, and to enjoying an intimate dinner prepared by Massimo Bottura (chef-patron of a three-Michelin-star restaurant in Modena, Italy) amongst numerous others. Upon their return to Johannesburg, they yearned for the quality and convenience that they experienced when eating out while living in Bogotá, Colombia.

The restaurant is owner-run to maintain that personal touch and ensure that you have the best experience possible. The space is designed to be comfortable and inviting, best enjoyed in the company of family and good friends.
